SPY 2002 Network Security 2

This course is an introduction to network security and overall security processes. At the completion of this course the student will have gained the necessary knowledge of network level attacks and various defense mechanisms. Students will learn to mount attacks and defend against them using a variety of software tools.

The objective of this course is to teach the concepts of securing computer networks, based on the application of security protocols. Students will learn to monitor and control unauthorized access, misuse, and unwanted modification in the networking system. They will learn how to prevent network attacks and identify gaps in security policy, guaranteeing privacy.
